Includes nine letters to William Heinemann which combine publishing concerns with personal news and appointments; two letters to Lewis Benjamin, about speaking engagements; to Mr. McDowell, thanking him for a clipping; to Lady Aberdeen, about his itinerary and her invitation for him and his wife to stay at Government House; to My dear Stoddart, making travel plans from Florida to New York; two letters to My dear Mr. Dunn, mentioning articles he has been considering writing. Also, card acknowledging a letter of introduction; announcement, from Mrs. Ashley A. Vantine, for the wedding of her daughter, Amy Eliza, to Gilbert Parker.
